BIOGRAPHY:
Valentina Daldegan has received a PhD in Music from the Federal University of Paraná and in Pedagogical Sciences from
the University of Bologna, Italy, with a research period at the Lund University, Malmö, Sweden, researching on Poetics
of Contemporary Music Interpretation for Flute. Master in Music from the Federal University of Parana, with research on
Extended Techniques and Contemporary Music in Teaching Flute for Young Beginners, Ms. Daldegan has published many papers in the subject.
Flute teacher, with specialization in the Suzuki Method held as a scholarship student at East Tennessee State University and specialization in the Edwin Gordon Method of Music Learning, with its creator, at Michigan State University. She has performed as a flutist in diverse orchestras and chamber ensembles. She is the flutist of Nova Camerata - a group specializing in contemporary music - and has premiered several works by Brazilian composers.
