BIOGRAPHY:
Beatrice Anabel Ovalle Ortega, Chilean flutist and piccolist at the Philharmonic Orchestra in Santiago, Chile.
She was the co-principal flutist and piccolist at the Guanajuato`s University Symphony Orchestra in Mexico (2014-2018).
She got a Musical Studies Diploma at the Regional Conservatory of Rueil-Malmaison, France, in the chair of the teacher Philippe Pierlot (soloist of the National Orchestra of France).
She obtained the first prize in Chamber Music at the Regional Conservatory of Versailles, France. Beatrice took courses in Caribbean Art and Appreciation of Latin American Literature at the Havana`s University in Cuba; in parallel she took flute lessons with teacher Orlando Canto.
She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in music performance at the University of Guanajuato, Mexico.
She has specialization studies in piccolo with the teacher Pierre Dumail, (piccolist of the National Opera Orchestra of Paris), at the Henri Dutilleux Conservatory in Clamart, Paris, France.
In Chile, she studied with the professors: Sergio Gana, Maximiliano Trigo (Philharmonic Orchestra of Toluca, Mexico) and Hernán Jara (soloist of the Chilean Symphony Orchestra) at the Modern School of Music in Santiago.
She has been invited to the International Flute Festival in the South of the World (Chile), Chicago Music Festival (United States), ABAICAM Contemporary Music Festival (Bolivia), Portillo International Music Festival, Chile, and International Flute Festival in Guanajuato (Mexico). She collaborated on the organization of the International Piccolo Festival of Mexico, editions in Guanajuato, together with Nadia Guenet.
In the field of teaching, she has worked in the Youth and Children's Orchestras systems of Chile, Bolivia and Mexico. She graduated from the Leaders Program of the Orchestra of the Americas.
She played as a soloist with the Chamber Orchestra of Chile, the Symphony Orchestra of the Guanajuato`s University and the Guanajuato’s State Symphony Band.
She is a member of “Flautotum Ensemble” and of the group “La noble compaña”, dedicated to Theatrical Shows, with the actress Francisa Ovalle.
She is a piccolo teacher at the National Foundation of Youth and Children's Orchestras of Chile.
